Thank you for your patience! I work with people along their therapeutic journey, and do not determine how long this should take. This makes it difficult to estimate the wait time, as I have a limited number of spots. Nonetheless, if you decide to go on the waitlist, I could inform you of your number on the waitlist and approximate wait time. For those on the waitlist, please see the Resources tab.
I have an open door policy for return clients.
Anyone can benefit from therapy. Your problems don't need to look or feel bigger than others' in order to justify being seen by a therapist. We are all human, and part of that means we all experience suffering, and all can use support to navigate life, including myself!
If you're ready to be honest with yourself that is a great sign that you're ready, and that you're likely to get a lot out of therapy.
I am currently only accepting individual adult clients, and am not seeing children, teens, couples and families.
Yes!

You can generally expect that we will touch on the following: the consent form, your intentions for therapy, a review of your personal history, my therapeutic approach, any of your requests/wishes for the first session, and any questions or concerns you may have.
I do not require clients to commit to a certain frequency , however, it has been found that the more frequently clients attend therapy (e.g. weekly vs. monthly) the more they report higher levels of well being. I understand that it is not financially possible for everyone to attend that frequently. Given that, I would recommend attending more frequently at the beginning of therapy (if possible the first 6 sessions).
While this varies from client to client, if my approach resonates with you, it is not uncommon for clients to begin reaping the benefits of Self-connection within the first few sessions. If you're looking to resolve deep internal challenges, it is expected that difficult emotions will arise and that it will take time to process, however, you will be guided in session as to how to work with the emerging parts so that you can begin to guide yourself outside of sessions. If you're committed to practicing between sessions, it would be very likely to begin to feel and notice improvements within several sessions, but can be shorter or longer depending on the complexity of the issue(s).
I welcome all feedback! Bringing this up in therapy can be incredibly valuable for current and future therapy, whether you remain with me or not.
Therapy sessions are 50 minutes, but 75minute and 100 minute sessions can also be booked.
I provide current clients with access to book online. If you are a current client and have not received access, please let me know.
There is not a set timeline. I work with people along their therapeutic journey, and do not determine how long this should take. The complexity of what we're focusing on also factors into the duration of therapy.
It is $235 for a 50-minute session, as per the recommended fee schedule set by the Psychologists Association of Alberta.
